The Parapsychology Foundation hosts its first Book Expo, a day long online conference beginning at 9:30am Eastern on Saturday November 14th, 2015 and finishing up around 6:00pm Eastern on the same day. The PF Book Expo will feature editors and authors talking about their recent books, why they got involved in the process, things they learned along the way, the content of the books and more. Three of the books are aimed at serious researchers in and students of parapsychology and anomalistic psychology who are interested in methodology, theory and the various phenomena under study. The rest of the presentations will provide the attendee with access to serious authors who have written on some aspect of the history of the field and on specific phenomena.
The conference will start and end with a presentation by Lisette Coly, PF Research Fellows Dr. Carlos S. Alvarado and Dr. Nancy L. Zingrone. From 10am to 5:00pm Eastern, scheduled at the top of each hour, there will be six presentations, each of which will include PowerPoints or other media, plenty of time for discussion, and links to other information. The Book Expo is free to all enrollees, and will be recorded and available for future viewers and new enrollment. There are no prerequisites, no fees and no certificates. Those who attend or watch the recordings will meet the editors and authors of some of 2015's best titles in our field and have a chance to not only get acquainted with the content of the books themselves but the editors and authors themselves. Building the best personal library in the field in scientific parapsychology is a must for serious students and researchers. Come join us!

The Parapsychology Foundation, located in New York City, is a not for profit organization that is celebrating its 65th year in operation in 2016. For the last 64 years the PF has provided a worldwide forum supporting the scientific exploration of psychic phenomena. The PF also maintains the Eileen J. Garrett Research Library in Greenport on Long Island. The PF's online events on WizIQ, which include conferences like this one and the PF Forum: Advances in UK Parpasychology which was offered last May, are designed to further the education of individuals who are working in or interested in learning more about the scientific side of the field.
Lisette Coly, who will guide the proceedings on November 14th, is the President of the Parapsychology Foundation, daughter of the previous President, Mrs. Eileen Coly, and granddaughter of PF Founder Irish American intellectual, entrepeneur, author and medium, Eileen J. Garrett. Dr. Carlos S. Alvarado and Dr. Nancy L. Zingrone who will co-moderate the day's events are not only Research Fellows of the Parapsychology Foundation but both two-time Past Presidents of the Parapsychological Association, the international society for scientists and scholars who investigate what seem to be psychic phenomena from a variety of disciplinary perspectives.
Guest lecturers at the November 14th PF Book Expo Dr. Etzel Cardeña of Lund University (chief editor of Parapsychology: A Handbook for the 21st Century) and Dr. Edward F. Kelly of the University of Virginia (Editor of Beyond Physicalism) are active researchers in scientific parapsychology and psychology. Guest lecturer Dr. Edwin C. May (head editor of Extrasensory Perception: Support, Skepticism and Science) is the former director of the Stargate Project in the United States, a physicist, and a materialist with a prodigious knowledge of the field. The works these men will talk about range over the most important research and theory in the field today.
Guest lecturer David Jaher is an accomplished author and his book, The Witch of Lime Street, has been hailed by historians as one of the best of its kind. The book examines the period just before scientific parapsychology developed in the United States by focusing on the investigations of the controversial medium Margery Crandon by American magician Harry Houdini in their historical context. Allene Symons (author of Aldous Huxley's Hands) is also an accomplished author whose book, debuting in December, is a unique look at theorist and futurist Aldous Huxley's interest in psychedelics and the paranormal, among other things.
The sixth guest lecturer will be announced before the Book Expo begins.
